The Center for Firearm Safety and Training announces the following course is open for registration:
NRA Basic Pistol Shooting
September 26-27, October 4, 2015
Classes will be conducted at the Outdoor Sportsman's Club, 142 Sportsman Lane, State College, PA 16801.
Meeting dates and times are:
Saturday Sept 26 9:00 am - 4:00 pm classroom, range lesson 1 Sunday Sept 27 1:00 - 4:00 pm classroom, range lesson 2 Sunday Oct 4 1:00 - 4:00 pm range lessons 3 and 4, classroom
Additional class time as needed. Exact class times may be adjusted during the first (Saturday) class meeting to suit the class.
NRA Basic Pistol covers all aspects of handgun safety, gun handling skills, marksmanship, storage and maintenance. The course is intended for the new handgun owner and for anyone needing a refresher on the fundamentals of pistol shooting.
This course is highly recommended for everyone contemplating the purchase of their first handgun.
Our course features enhanced range exercises conducted by a team of very experienced NRA Certified Instructors. Students will receive personalized one-on-one range instruction.
NRA Basic Pistol is required for advanced training, including Personal Protection classes and Action Pistol classes.
$75 course fee includes all classroom materials and supplies, including student instruction book, course certificate, and handouts. Students will require approximately 150 rounds of ammo. Eye and ear protection required. Students must be 18 years of age or older (unless authorized by the instructor).
Class size is limited to 15. Registration via the NRA Instructors web site is required. Walk-on students cannot be accommodated. Students must attend all class sessions and complete all range exercises in order to receive the course certificate.
Registration is not complete until pre-paid, non-refundable $25 deposit is received. (See below.)

Pack your lunch for the all day Saturday class. Students who need to borrow a firearm must contact the instructor.
Students will require approximately 150 rounds of ammo.
