Welcome to the Horseshoe Amateur Radio Club Examiners (HARCE) information page for licensed amateurs and HARC members.  The purpose of this site is to provide information about HARC activities, public service events, local repeater listings, useful technical information, and items of general amateur interest.

HARCE will conduct an ARRL/VEC amateur radio exam session on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the Red Cross Chapter House (4100 Fifth Ave., Altoona) beginning at 9:00 AM.  All exam elements will be offered.  The examination fee is $15 .  Pre-registration is requested, but walk-ins will be welcome.

Frequency Change for Canadian Time Transmission Station CHU

After 70 years of broadcasting Canada's official time, the National Research Council's shortwave station CHU moved the transmission frequency for the 7335 kHz transmitter to 7850 kHz. 
The change went into effect at 0000 UTC on January 1, 2009.
