Welcome to the Horseshoe Amateur Radio Club Examiners web site, hosted by the Web Space Outlet in State College, Pa.



HARCE will conduct an ARRL/VEC amateur radio exam session on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at
                                     LOCATION TO BE ANNOUNCED!
 the Blair County 911 and Emergency Operations Center, 615 Fourth Street, Altoona, 
beginning at 9:00 AM.  All exam elements will be offered.  The examination fee is $15 .

Pre-registration is strongly requested, but walk-ins will be welcome.

The Blair County 911 and Emergency Operations Center exam site at 615 Fourth Street, Altoona, is handicap accessible.

  Handicap parking is available adjacent to the building.



Please note that the Pre-Registration form has been modified in an attempt to discourage hackers, robo-spammers, and other unsavory characters who have been targeting this web site for many months now.   Most of these disruptive activities are being conducted from foreign sites from which absolutely no legitimate benefit can be obtained from an American amateur radio license.

   FCC "Paperless" Amateur Radio License Policy   
   went into effect on February 17, 2015


Morse Code Testing Ended on February 23, 2007!


Volunteer Examiners:

Please notify your Team Liaison of your intention to participate at an upcoming HARCE exam session.  This will greatly alleviate concerns that we'll have enough volunteers to run the session!


All radio amateurs are advised to know and fully understand their operating privileges before taking to the airwaves.
